Today In History

  • In 1950 - U.S. Supreme Court undermined the legal foundations of segregation in three landmark cases, Sweatt v. Painter, McLaurin v. Oklahoma State Regents and Henderson v. United States.
  • In 1966 - The “March Against Fear” began on June 5, 1966, and was initiated by civil rights activist James Meredith.

To Inspire You

We should emphasize not Negro History, but the Negro in history. What we need is not a history of selected races or nations, but the history of the world void of national bias, race hate, and religious prejudice.
