Membership in the Rhode Island Guardians Association is based on the following membership classes:
Active Membership
Eligibility for active membership shall be extended to all regularly appointed full-time, part-time, reserve, or retired law enforcement officers employed by any law enforcement agency within the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations with powers of arrest, search and seizure as defined as a "Peace officer," pursuant to Section § 12-7-21 of the Rhode Island General Laws.
Yearly dues is $50.00 per year (completing the online application will require use of debit or credit card to pay dues).

Associate Members
Associate Membership shall be available to: persons employed in non-sworn public safety positions throughout the State who are interested in furthering the goals of the association
Yearly dues is $25.00 per year (completing the online application will require use of debit or credit card to pay dues).

Supporting Members
Supporting Membership shall be available to persons within the general community who have shown or demonstrated compatibility with the mission, goals and principles of the Association, who shall otherwise meet the requirements for Associate Membership
